Early Life and Education

What was your early childhood experience?

My name is Amb.Dr Rosaline Adedoyin Amangbo. I am the first child of Mr. Robert Adekunle Martins.

My father worked at CFAO Motors, while my mother served in the Nigerian Civil Service. Both parents come from prominent families in Nigeria. My father was from the Martins family, a distinguished lineage with accomplished academicians, business leaders, diplomats, and politicians. My mother is from the Ajao family, the owners of the renowned Ajao Estate in Lagos, Nigeria.

My father had deep respect for my mother and for women in general. He promoted gender equality within our household. He encouraged my mother to pursue a career in the civil service and regularly advised her on work-related matters, especially in the field of procurement.

I attended A.D.R.A.O International School in Victoria Island, where I received one of the best early childhood educations available in the 1990s. Many children of diplomats, top business leaders, and professionals were among my peers at the school.

My secondary education began at Catholic Comprehensive High School, Abeokuta. It was during these formative years that I developed leadership qualities. I represented the school in numerous literary and debating activities and was appointed Head Girl in the fifth form. I later transferred to Apata Memorial High School in Lagos State, where I sat for my O'Level examinations.

In 1996, I was admitted into Lagos State University to study English. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in English Literature.

I was inspired by watching my mother prepare for work each morning. When she was deployed to handle procurement at the National Agricultural Research Project, I admired her professionalism as she boarded her official car. It was uplifting to see women rise in their careers. I prayed to become a successful career woman someday. My mother later served at the Ministry of Defence before retiring.

Current Roles and Global Impact

What is your current role, and what do you enjoy most about your work?

I am the Ambassador of the Public Institution International Royal Diplomatic Club of the United Nations, Lithuania, where I serve as the Deputy Head of Mission in Africa. I am also the CEO of Jacamiah Global Real Estate Ltd, a company that is the sole nominated mandate of Industry Investment Group LLC, Qatar. In addition, I serve as a consulting partner to Nicotra Group, Italy.

Recently, I was appointed as the Country Director of the World Business Angel Investment Forum (WBAF) Nigeria office and as a Senior Senator representing Nigeria.

What I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to engage with a broad range of individuals and institutions, private and public entities, business leaders, policymakers, high-net-worth individuals, influential women, and artists. Many of these are clients or collaborators in need of debt or investment financing or seeking angel investors for their projects and ventures.

I find fulfillment in facilitating access to finance for entrepreneurs, advancing gender equality, and promoting financial and digital inclusion, especially in the post-pandemic era. Through my partnerships with institutional collaborators across borders, I strive to contribute meaningfully to global economic development.

Proudest Achievements

What are your proudest moments?

My proudest moments include being appointed as the sole mandate of Industry Investment Group LLC, Qatar, and being recognized as an ambassador in Africa and Europe. These appointments have affirmed my commitment to international collaboration and economic empowerment.

Challenges and Resilience

What is one major challenge you have found in your career, and how did you overcome it?

One of the major challenges I have faced in my career is sourcing financing with interest rates as low as 2% for business ventures and projects. Overcoming this required extensive networking and collaboration with global institutions that are committed to innovative financial models.

Another challenge was acquiring reliable and current information about global projects. I addressed this by gaining access to world-class training programs and webinars on entrepreneurship and diplomacy. Through my involvement with the World Business Angel Investment Forum, I also gained insight into the G20 financial inclusion programs.

By the grace of God, I am now privileged to work with organizations that are actively working toward achieving financial inclusion for entrepreneurs with viable business ideas and initiatives.

The companies I collaborate with have developed innovative financial instruments that empower entrepreneurs, making financing more accessible and inclusive.

Advice to Future Leaders

What advice would you give to young people aiming for success?

My advice to young individuals aspiring for success is to pursue entrepreneurship education and take advantage of financial inclusion opportunities through programs like the G20 initiative. They should also strive to build partnerships with entrepreneurs, policymakers, and academicians across borders. By doing so, they can broaden their perspectives, gain invaluable insights, and create meaningful impacts on both a local and global scale.
