Israel Strikes Syrian Army Positions Near Aleppo

Israel launched airstrikes on Syrian army positions south of Aleppo on Thursday, targeting defense and research facilities, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Residents reported hearing at least seven massive explosions, with one describing the strikes as the strongest they had ever experienced, shaking the ground and illuminating the night sky.

The Syrian Observatory stated the strikes hit defense factories in the al-Safira area. While the impact was significant, there was no immediate information on casualties.

Since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in December, Israel has carried out numerous strikes in Syria, stating that these operations aim to prevent military weapons from reaching hostile groups.
