Donald Trump’s Iconic Fist Pump Captured in $1 Million Bronze Statue
Washington DC: Ahead of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, a 15-foot-tall bronze statue commemorating the Republican leader’s iconic fist-pump moment has been unveiled. Created by Ohio sculptor Alan Cottrill, the statue, titled "The Patriot Statue of Donald J. Trump," was commissioned by a group of wealthy cryptocurrency investors and is valued at $1 million.
The statue depicts a defining moment from July 13, 2024, when Trump, defiant after surviving an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, pumped his fist in a show of resilience. This moment, which resonated with his supporters, has now been immortalized in bronze. The statue is set to tour the country before finding a permanent home in a future Trump presidential library, according to the New York Post.
A Tribute from the Crypto Community
The project was financed by several dozen cryptocurrency investors who see Trump as a potential ally for their industry. Sharing an image of the statue on social media platform X, crypto community Patriot Token stated, “We’re so proud of the statue we all worked so hard to complete. It turned out exactly as planned and is truly fit to match the man it’s dedicated to! Larger Than Life!!!”
The six-ton monument was commissioned just a week after the July 13 shooting incident and is set to be unveiled at Washington DC’s Capital One Arena. From there, it will begin a nationwide tour, giving supporters across the country an opportunity to view it up close.
Public Reception and Future Plans
Brock Pierce, a cryptocurrency billionaire who contributed to funding the statue, expressed confidence in its popularity. “People will be making a pilgrimage to see this thing. Trump has a fan base that I don’t think we’ve seen in a politician in a very long time,” Pierce said.
Conservative activist Dustin Stockton, who serves as an unofficial spokesperson for the investors behind the statue, revealed plans to have Trump appear with the statue during the inauguration festivities. “We do expect President Trump to be with the statue at some point during the inauguration,” Stockton said.
Inauguration Day Preparations
Donald Trump is set to be inaugurated on January 20, returning to the White House for a second term following a landslide victory over outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris. Alongside Trump, Vice President-elect JD Vance will also be sworn into office.
The day’s events, steeped in tradition and celebration, will include a formal swearing-in ceremony, musical performances, a parade, and several inaugural balls. Trump’s return to office has reignited his support base, with many eager to celebrate what they see as a pivotal moment in modern American politics.
