Jadeja’s All-Round Contribution in Nagpur ODI

Apart from his exceptional bowling, Jadeja played a small but steady role in India’s successful chase, scoring an unbeaten 12 off 10 balls, striking two boundaries to help his team cross the finish line.

England’s Innings Recap: Early Fireworks, Late Collapse

Winning the toss, England opted to bat first, starting aggressively with a 75-run opening stand between Phil Salt (43 off 26) and Ben Duckett (32 off 29). However, India’s disciplined bowling attack triggered a middle-order collapse.

Key contributions for England:

  • Jos Buttler (52 off 67) and Jacob Bethell (51 off 64) steadied the innings.
  • Jofra Archer (21 off 18)* added late runs.

Despite their efforts, England was bowled out for 248 in 47.4 overs.

India’s Bowling Performance

  • Ravindra Jadeja: 3/26 (9 overs, 1 maiden)

  • Harshit Rana: 3/53 (9 overs)
  • Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami, and Kuldeep Yadav: 1 wicket each

What’s Next?

With this milestone, Jadeja further cements his legacy as one of India’s greatest all-rounders. As India leads the three-match series 1-0, they will look to continue their dominance in the second ODI.
