Rooted in Values: The Early Foundations
Tell us about your early life, education, and career journey
I come from a home where culture wasn’t just taught, it was lived. Where values were the silent language spoken around every dinner table.
My father, born into influence, never leaned on it. Instead, he carved his own destiny, rising through the ranks at Aramco Saudi Arabia to become Chief Petroleum Engineer. Watching him build his own journey, not inherit it, planted a seed deep in me:
Work with passion. Move with purpose. Build your own story.
My own education began with some of the finest schools and universities back home, and eventually led me across oceans to Saïd Business School, Oxford University, where I completed my Master’s-level education in Organizational Leadership.
I started my career at Nestlé, hungry to learn. Then came Gillette, where I grew into the Country Trade Marketing Head. But it was when I entered the luxury world, taking charge of Bulgari as Brand Manager in the early 2000s, that I found my true calling.
Luxury wasn’t just a category; it was emotion, experience, and storytelling wrapped into brands. I went on to oversee retail operations at icons like Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, and Galeries Lafayette, leading the top beauty distribution company in Dubai. It wasn’t just work, it was the art of creating magic.
Leading Luxury with Purpose
What is your current role, and what do you enjoy most about your work?
The path kept evolving. I took on advisory roles, transformation projects, always staying rooted in my passion: luxury beauty.
That led me to Give Back Beauty (GBB), a company that, at the time, had only one brand: Chopard Parfums.
Fast forward a few years, and the story changed. Today, GBB shines with brands like Elie Saab, Tommy Hilfiger, Iceberg, Mercedes, Angelini Group, and others.
I had the honor of opening new doors across the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS, scaling the business six-fold in just five years.
Today, my journey has brought me to Canada, North America Region, where I serve as Head of Sales. With brands like Dolce & Gabbana under our distribution and new launches on the horizon, it’s a thrilling chapter.
Challenges like Hudson’s Bay's closure have only fueled our creativity and drive, pushing us to reimagine growth with our retail partners.
What do I love most?
Building dreams. Inspiring teams. Turning challenges into legacy stories.
Resilience in Action: A Defining Milestone
What has been your proudest professional accomplishment?
If I had to capture it in one word: Resilience.
Throughout my career, I was trusted to rebuild, reorganize, and relaunch, not when times were easy, but when the odds were high.
One moment stands tall: right during the heart of COVID-19, when the world paused, we didn't. We exceeded sales budgets and grew the business organically threefold over six years. Success during chaos. Growth during uncertainty. That is what I am most proud of.
Turning Diversity into Strength
What is one major challenge you've faced in your career, and how did you overcome it?
When you lead teams made up of over 100 nationalities, you realize that diversity is a gift, but unity is an art.
The biggest lesson I learned over the years is the power of listening.
Not just hearing words, but understanding hearts.
That’s how walls turned into bridges, and teams turned into families. It’s a skill that no course teaches, but life rewards richly.
Staying Ahead in a Changing Industry
How do you stay ahead in your industry?
-
Stay curious.
-
Stay connected.
-
Stay close to the pulse of the consumer, not just the pulse of the industry.
And remember, retailers are not customers, they are partners in a shared dream.
Treat them that way, and magic happens.
Words of Wisdom for the Next Generation
What advice would you give to young professionals aiming for success?
Be yourself, fiercely. Adapt. Grow. Evolve, but never lose your essence.
Listen more than you speak. Analyze more than you react.
And above all, carry your passion like a torch. Because in a world full of noise, passion is what makes you unforgettable.
A Journey That Continues to Inspire
Mahmood S. Khan’s journey reminds us that true leadership isn’t measured by titles or trophies, it’s measured by impact. It’s seen in the cultures we shape, the teams we uplift, and the legacies we leave behind.

As he steps confidently into new horizons across North America and beyond, his story is far from finished, it’s evolving, inspiring, and still building bridges.
Because for Mahmood, the journey isn’t just about where he’s going. It’s about how many lives he can empower along the way.
