Early Life and Education

Jeanclude Mbaku is a dedicated person with a passion for learning new things. Growing up, he embraced challenges, which shaped his strong work ethic. His education includes Certifications in Occupational health and safety, including Nebosh and IOSH, and he is currently pursuing a Master Degree in Sports Business at the FBA, a Swiss football business Academy institution that honed his skills. All in all, he had a vow that it’s either he becomes great or no need to exist at all, and this has pushed him to work 3x than any ordinary person can imagine.

Passion for Football

Jeanclude grew up seeing everyone play football in his community called Upper Ashong in the Batibo subdivision of Cameroon. No one can doubt their community team by the name “Ngomossoh worriors.” His uncle with his title Pa Bali used to be the goalkeeper, his elder brother Gustav used to be the main defender, and due to this, he developed a strong passion for football and once became the midfielder of the same team playing with a host of friends and even played in the school teams during his childhood as a striker and earned the nickname “Bright,” which his friends still call him till now. He couldn’t pursue his football career due to family pressures, so he said to himself that in case he can’t concentrate and play himself again, he will create an opportunity for others to play the beautiful game. In order to master everything in football organization, he had to enroll for the master degree program with the 13th edition batch of the FBA (Football Business Academy), and his graduation will be happening by 29 August 2024.

Sports business in the Gulf in general is at its development as compared to Europe where it is already at the advanced stage. There are still a few challenges, but the main one is fan engagement. No one has time or the motivation to go to the field and watch football properly due to lack of connection to those playing, and that is where Diversity Sports LLC comes in now with a new approach in sports, specializing in organizing sports events that cater for everyone both the professionals and amateurs focusing mainly on fostering several UN sustainability goals in sports. The current competition INC (Inter Nationality Cup) is targeting different nationalities since there are more than 100+ different communities based in the UAE, so every community will definitely turn out to support their team and as a result breaking the fan engagement problem, which Jeanclude is very sure will happen.

The only challenges are lack of support for sports from the general public especially if not known yet, but as Jeanclude says, they are trusting the process.

Jeanclude believes starting a sports business requires a lot of resilience and patience, and it is never a day’s job with any business venture. Most importantly, anyone should venture into sports only if they are passionate about sports and later on money will follow. But if they venture into sports for money-making purposes, then they are coming to run away. He has consistently paid salaries, office rent, and DEWA bills for two years, with zero income source while planning on the INC, making designs, building the rules and regulations, making constant research on future challenges, and putting in place control measures nonstop. The reason is that he is first of all passionate about sports, but someone not passionate and not patient will shut down the company.
