Jasprit Bumrah Leaves 5th Test Due to Injury Concerns
Indian skipper and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah left the field during the second day of the fifth Test against Australia in Sydney, raising concerns about his fitness. After bowling just one over in his post-lunch spell, Bumrah experienced discomfort, suspected to be a side strain.
Bumrah, who has been exceptional in the series with 32 wickets, had figures of 2/33 in 10 overs before leaving. He dismissed Marnus Labuschagne earlier in the day but exited the stadium for precautionary scans, accompanied by the team doctor and security liaison officer.
In Bumrah's absence, Virat Kohli has taken over the captaincy. Fans and teammates alike are hoping for positive news from the scans as Bumrah has been pivotal in India’s performance throughout the series.
