BurJuman Mall to Introduce Ticketless Paid Parking System in Dubai

Table of Contents

BurJuman Mall, one of Dubai’s oldest and most renowned shopping destinations, is set to introduce a ticketless paid parking system. The smart parking solution will utilize Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras to streamline parking access and fee calculations.

This transition aligns with a growing trend in Dubai, following similar implementations at Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, and Dubai Mall over the past year.

How the New Parking System Works

Automated Entry and Exit

  • The new system eliminates the need for physical tickets, making entry and exit smoother.

  • ANPR cameras will capture vehicle license plate numbers, allowing motorists to proceed without stopping.
  • Parking barriers will remain, but they will automatically raise to let vehicles in and out.

Smart Parking Enhancements

  • In addition to ticketless parking, BurJuman Mall will introduce a ‘Find My Car’ service to help visitors locate their parked vehicles.

  • Further upgrades will be made to improve parking navigation and ease of access.

Parking Fees and Regulations

No Increase in Parking Charges

  • The first three hours of parking remain free.

  • Each additional hour or part thereof costs Dh20.
  • Free parking on Sundays and public holidays will continue.
  • Moviegoers will receive three additional free hours of parking.
  • Overnight parking is not allowed, and violating vehicles will be charged Dh250 per day.

BurJuman Mall: A Legacy in Dubai’s Retail Scene

  • Established in 1991, BurJuman Mall is owned by the Saif Al Ghurair Real Estate Group.

  • Spanning 286,417 square meters, the mall houses over 100 international and local brands, a cinema, a family entertainment center, and a hypermarket.
  • The BurJuman Metro Station, which connects directly to the mall, is Dubai’s busiest metro hub, recording 7.8 million passengers between January and June last year.

The introduction of a ticketless paid parking system at BurJuman Mall reflects Dubai’s ongoing shift toward smart infrastructure and enhanced customer convenience. With the same parking feesautomated access, and new technological upgrades, the mall aims to provide a seamless and hassle-free experience for visitors.

As BurJuman joins other leading retail destinations in adopting this innovative approach, Dubai’s shopping malls continue to enhance efficiency, accessibility, and modern urban mobility solutions.
