Mukesh Ambani and Wife Nita to Attend Trump’s Second Inauguration
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, are among the distinguished guests invited to attend U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s second inauguration on January 20. The high-profile event is set to welcome influential figures from across the globe, including billionaires, political leaders, and celebrities.
Arriving in Washington on January 18, the Ambanis were part of an exclusive group of 100 attendees at an intimate candlelit dinner hosted by the Trump family last evening. Sources indicate that the Ambanis were likely the only Indian representatives at the dinner, where they also interacted with Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance.
The couple's presence at the inauguration underscores their close ties with the Trump family. Mukesh Ambani was previously present during Ivanka Trump’s visit to Hyderabad for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in 2017. He also attended President Trump’s state visit to India in February 2020.
Most recently, in March 2024, Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner, and their daughter Arabella Rose were among the esteemed guests at the pre-wedding festivities of the Ambanis’ youngest son, Anant Ambani, and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, held in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
While many donors have contributed significant sums to Trump’s inauguration committee for VIP access, the Ambanis have been personally invited by the Trump family, reflecting their longstanding rapport.
