She previously led investment deals across different fields of investment banking working for companies such as Cazenove South Africa, the National Empowerment Fund, Vantage Capital, the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and Vodacom Group, where she served as Executive Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. During her tenure at Vodacom, she led the evaluation and execution of strategic mergers, acquisitions, and business development initiatives, working alongside internal and external stakeholders to structure complex transactions aligned with the organization's long-term growth strategy.
Her extensive experience across corporate finance advisory, private equity, mezzanine finance, infrastructure project finance, and mergers and acquisitions has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of how businesses evolve throughout different stages of growth. Mamokete's entrepreneurial experience extends beyond investment management. She co-founded Vulatel, a telecommunications infrastructure company focused on delivering comprehensive turnkey solutions across long-haul, metro, access, and fiber-to-the-home projects. She also successfully led two strategic acquisitions that accelerated the company's growth trajectory, demonstrating her ability to translate investment expertise into operational success. She is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of JSE-listed Master Drilling Group Limited, Chair of its Social Ethics and Sustainability Committee, and a member of the Audit Committee.
