About

For Dr. Chinyere “ChiChi” Anigbogu, DBA, MSDH, BSDH, oral health has never been simply about the mouth. Across more than 25 years in healthcare, she has built her work around a broader conviction: prevention, education, movement, nutrition, and oral health are interconnected parts of a person’s overall well being.

That perspective has shaped a career spanning clinical practice, executive leadership, education, consulting, entrepreneurship, and global advocacy. As a dental hygiene executive and healthcare strategist, Dr. Anigbogu has combined clinical knowledge with business leadership to strengthen preventive care, develop healthcare professionals, and encourage a more integrated understanding of wellness.

A significant chapter of her leadership journey came through her role as Vice President of National Dental Hygiene & Vendor Relations at Great Expressions Dental Centers. Working across a large multi-state organization, she provided strategic leadership for dental hygiene initiatives involving clinician development, recruitment and retention, clinical quality, periodontal programs, operational performance, and strategic industry partnerships. The experience reinforced her understanding that sustainable healthcare improvement requires more than clinical expertise; it also depends on strong leadership, effective systems, professional development, and an unwavering focus on patient outcomes.

Today, Dr. Anigbogu continues that work as Co-Owner and Clinical Operations Leader at Washington Dental Care in Georgia and as an Independent Dental Hygiene Growth Consultant. Through consulting, she works with private practices and emerging dental service organizations to strengthen hygiene departments, develop clinical leaders, improve patient outcomes, and create sustainable growth strategies.

At the heart of these efforts is her philosophy of total-body wellness. Dr. Anigbogu views health comprehensively, connecting the mouth and oral microbiome with nutrition, movement, flexibility, mobility, and preventive care. To her, wellness extends beyond the absence of disease. It is a physical foundation that allows people to remain active, engaged, and better equipped to participate in their own health.

This philosophy also inspired Body–Mouth Connection, her educational platform created to translate oral-systemic health science into practical information that people can understand and apply in everyday life. Rather than treating oral health as an isolated subject, she encourages greater awareness of how periodontal health, inflammation, nutrition, and daily oral-care habits relate to whole-body wellbeing.

Education has remained a defining element of Dr. Anigbogu’s professional journey. As an educator and international speaker, she advocates for prevention, health literacy, professional development, and greater public understanding of oral-systemic health. Her industry involvement has also included serving as an Advisory Board Member for Crest Oral-B, a Curriculum Advisory Board Member for the Fortis College Dental Hygiene Program, and a Product Ambassador for Young Innovations and Prahsys Payment Processing Inc.

Her commitment to education extends beyond the United States. Through SmileAccess Africa, Dr. Anigbogu is working to advance oral-health awareness and prevention across Nigeria and beyond, with particular attention to childhood dental caries and periodontal disease. The initiative reflects her belief that access to understandable health information can play an important role in helping communities adopt preventive habits earlier and make more informed decisions about their wellbeing.

Entrepreneurship provides another avenue through which she puts her integrated wellness philosophy into practice. Dr. Anigbogu is an owner of StretchLab Snellville, an Xponential Fitness franchise in Georgia. Its focus on assisted stretching and mobility complements her broader view that movement and physical function are important components of preventive wellness.

She is also developing VivaSmile, an oral-health wellness product concept shaped by the evolving understanding of the oral microbiome and its relationship with overall health. Together, these ventures illustrate an entrepreneurial approach that looks beyond traditional boundaries between dentistry, healthcare, and wellness.

Supporting this multifaceted career is an academic foundation that combines healthcare expertise with business leadership. Dr. Anigbogu holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Healthcare Management and Leadership, alongside graduate and undergraduate education in dental hygiene and health promotion. This combination has enabled her to approach healthcare challenges from both clinical and organizational perspectives, connecting patient care with leadership, strategy, education, and sustainable growth.

Across every dimension of her work, one principle remains consistent: education creates its greatest impact when it gives people the knowledge and confidence to take greater ownership of their health. Whether mentoring clinicians, advising dental organizations, educating communities, building businesses, or speaking to international audiences, Dr. Anigbogu continues to advocate for a healthcare model that is more preventive, connected, and empowering.

Looking ahead, her vision is centered on helping advance a more integrated approach to healthcare, one that brings together prevention, education, early intervention, movement, oral-systemic health, and total-body wellness. It is a vision that challenges traditional divisions within healthcare and places greater emphasis on understanding the body as an interconnected system.

For Dr. Anigbogu, the message behind that vision is both straightforward and far-reaching: “Your mouth is not separate from your body. True wellness begins when we recognize that every part of our health is connected.”
