NASA to Stream Rocket Launches on Netflix Starting This Summer

NASA announced it will begin streaming live space programming on Netflix starting this summer, including rocket launchesspacewalks, and live views from space. The move is part of the agency’s broader effort to expand global access to space-related content.

The programming will continue to be available free and ad-free via the NASA+ app and the official NASA website, the agency confirmed.

“In line with the 1958 National Aeronautics and Space Act, we are committed to sharing our space exploration journey with the widest possible audience,” said Rebecca Sirmons, General Manager of NASA+, in a press release.

The partnership comes amid a boom in space activity, particularly from commercial entities. SpaceX has led the charge with 81 rocket launches already completed in 2025, maintaining its role as the only U.S. firm currently certified to transport astronauts to the International Space Station.

Netflix, with over 700 million users, is leveraging the partnership as interest in space exploration grows and commercial missions become more frequent. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
