eTravel Replaces One Health Pass: What to Know About the Philippines' Travel Requirement

Table of Contents

Travelers to and from the Philippines, including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and tourists from the UAE, are now required to complete an online form prior to their flight.

The new travel declaration system, called eTravel, serves purposes related to border control, health surveillance, and economic data analysis. It can be accessed for free online or via a downloadable app.

Since the launch of eTravel, there has been some confusion among travelers, particularly those who were still under the impression that the One Health Pass was required. However, eTravel has replaced One Health Pass since 2023.

The History of eTravel and One Health Pass

The One Health Pass was introduced in 2021 to facilitate travel during the pandemic, especially when quarantine and contact tracing were mandatory. As COVID-19 restrictions eased, the government transitioned to a simpler e-arrival card system, eventually launching the current eTravel system.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is One Health Pass still required in the Philippines?
