Abu Dhabi Airport Resumes Partial Operations as Exceptional Flights Begin

Abu Dhabi Airports confirmed that partial operations have resumed at Zayed International Airport (AUH) starting March 2, 2026.

The airport operator said the resumption is being carried out in coordination with relevant authorities and airline partners. Exceptional flight operations have been introduced to assist stranded passengers affected by recent regional disruptions.

Travellers have been strongly advised to check directly with their airlines for updated flight schedules before heading to the airport.

The move follows a decision by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to allow limited flight operations across UAE airports under controlled conditions. Airlines will communicate approved schedules to passengers and destination authorities.

Officials said safety remains the top priority as operations gradually return.
