Dr. Nomonde Mabuya

Dr. Nomonde Mabuya is a distinguished South African medical professional, business leader, and advocate for women’s empowerment. With over three decades of experience, she has built an illustrious career as a C-suite executive, medical specialist, and strategic advisor. Currently serving as the CEO of QalodigiHealth, she is at the forefront of digital healthcare innovation, focusing on advancing electronic health record systems and remote patient monitoring solutions to improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency.

Her journey began in 1991 at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital before transitioning into private practice as a General Practitioner in Randfontein. Driven by a passion for occupational health, she specialized in Occupational Medicine, Travel Health, and Aerospace Medicine, further strengthening her expertise with an MBA in Strategic Marketing (cum laude). Over the years, she has served as a consultant in occupational health and safety for major corporations, including Vodacom, Deloitte, Standard Bank, Telkom, and the South African Reserve Bank. Her work has significantly contributed to corporate wellness strategies and health risk management.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Mabuya is a dedicated champion of gender equality and entrepreneurship. She is the Founder and Trustee of the Women’s Sports Trust and the Women Entrepreneurs Trust, in partnership with Aon South Africa. These initiatives provide scholarships to young athletes and offer catalytic funding to support emerging female micro-entrepreneurs in their business ventures. Her influence extends to academia and policy development, with 15 years of lecturing experience at the University of Pretoria’s School of Public Health. She has co-developed national guidelines for South African society of occupational Medicine (SASOM) on Fitness to drive.
