Dana Salloum is the Chief Communications Officer at Alstom Group, headquartered in Paris, France. With over 20 years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, and sustainability, she has contributed to major multinational organizations across the aerospace and transport sectors.

Salloum began her career in public relations, serving as a senior account manager at Asdaa PR in Dubai. She later moved into the aerospace sector, joining Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), where she was responsible for corporate communications and public relations, contributing to the company’s positioning in the global aerospace industry. During her time at DAE, she collaborated closely with Boeing in support of a major aircraft order placed by DAE in 2007.

In 2009, she joined Boeing and held several strategic roles over a span of 13 years. These included Associate Director of Business Development and Strategy, followed by Regional Manager for Government, Industry, and Community Engagement. In these capacities, she worked on business development initiatives, stakeholder relations, and regional strategic planning, contributing to Boeing’s expansion across key markets outside of Saudi Arabia. She also led the company’s corporate social responsibility and university-related engagement programs, which earned recognition from the UAE government in the form of awards for Best NGO Partnership and Best Corporate Partner.

In 2015, Salloum transitioned into international communications at Boeing, overseeing all internal and external communications across the Middle East and Africa. Her responsibilities expanded in 2020 to include India and Turkey. She played a central role in managing communication strategies during complex periods, including the 737 MAX crisis and the aircraft’s return to service.

In August 2021, Salloum joined Alstom as Vice President for Communications, External Affairs, and CSR for the Africa, Middle East, and Central Asia (AMECA) region. The role was created following Alstom’s acquisition of Bombardier Transportation, combining key functions across communications, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, and public affairs in a key growth region. In May 2023, she was promoted to Chief Communications Officer of Alstom Group, where she now oversees the company’s global communications strategy and stakeholder engagement efforts, with a focus on sustainable transport.

Salloum holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in business administration from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in public communications from American University in Washington, D.C. In 2021, she completed an executive program in Leading Sustainable Corporations at the University of Oxford.

Outside her corporate responsibilities, she has served as Executive Vice President of the American Business Council in Dubai and Northern Emirates, and as a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Abu Dhabi. She also participates in volunteer work with nonprofit organizations, particularly those supporting refugees and displaced individuals. Her interests include sustainable community development and initiatives that promote equitable access to basic needs and opportunities.
