Karina Arnez

Since the beginning of her medical studies in Brazil, Karina Arnez was never fully satisfied with what was taught in class. She became actively involved in research, internships, and even helped to develop the medical school homepage. These experiences made her realize that, throughout her career, she alone would be responsible for seeking opportunities, not the school.

During her specialization in Anesthesiology, she began thinking about expanding her horizons by working as a doctor abroad. This decision led her to revalidate her medical diploma in the United States, which later gave her the opportunity to work as a research fellow at a children’s hospital in Philadelphia.

In 2020, she returned to Brazil and spent two years working on the Covid frontline. Shortly after, she was offered another opportunity to work abroad, this time in Italy as an emergency medicine doctor, where she has been living since 2023. Alongside her medical career in Europe, she also decided to pursue a longtime dream: earning an MBA at a top business school. In 2024, she began an Executive MBA at the London Business School. She envisions making a meaningful impact in healthcare in the future and hopes to share her journey with young doctors to inspire them.

Today, Italy has become her home, along with London, as she continues her pursuit of completing diploma revalidations in both countries.
