Cassie Wells, CEO of Modern Business Development, is an international best-selling author, AZRE’s People To Know recipient, and a contestant on The Blox – Season 18. With over a decade of industry experience, Cassie began her career as a Corporate Sales Manager for a leading national Audio-Visual integrator, where she discovered her passion for project and connection hunting. While her dedication to serving loyal customers was unwavering, she was equally drawn to pursuing new leads and uncovering valuable information about projects and companies.

Her time immersed in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry provided her with invaluable insights into the true essence of business. Cassie learned that success is not solely about contracts and transactions, but about fostering exceptional connections, nurturing authentic relationships, and showing deep respect for everyone she works with.

In 2022, driven by these insights, Cassie founded Modern Business Development (Modern BD) to address a gap she identified in the market. Modern BD offers specialized Business Development services to subcontractors who need expert support but may not be ready to invest in a full-time Director of BD. She understood the hesitancy many businesses have in hiring Business Development professionals, from the significant investment in onboarding to concerns about fit and retention, and created Modern BD as a flexible, effective solution to alleviate those concerns.

Through her work with both Modern BD, Cassie Wells continues to redefine the art of business development by creating innovative platforms for connection, collaboration, and growth.
