Before fully stepping into the world of fashion, Deborah built a distinguished career in public service. She worked for the State of Connecticut Judicial System as a Court Mediator for 20 years in the family division, a role that required empathy, problem-solving, and strong communication skills. In 2004, she relocated to Pennsylvania with her family and began a new chapter. By 2005, she embraced entrepreneurship, launching an organic fabric dry-cleaning business. After eight successful years, she sold the company, recognizing that her true passion lay in fashion design.

Determined to pursue that passion with intention and discipline, Deborah returned to college to study fashion for two years. Seeking an education tailored to her goals, she designed her own curriculum to better suit her academic needs. On weekends, she traveled to Parson’s School of Fashion’s Continuing Education classes while also enrolling in numerous online courses to refine her skills. This commitment to continuous learning and hands-on development laid the technical and creative foundation for DAM Fashions.

Today, Deborah operates a boutique in West Chester Borough, Pennsylvania, where she offers private appointments to clients for custom-made garments. She envisioned the boutique as more than a retail space, it is a creative hub where fashion connects with the community. Her work includes luxury outerwear, tailored suits, dresses, and custom wedding gowns, crafted using imported silk, cashmere, wools, and premium linings. Every piece is made to measure, ensuring precision, comfort, and a personalized aesthetic that reflects each client’s distinctive taste.

Beyond her design work, Deborah actively mentors fashion students through collaboration with a local university’s fashion department, providing guidance and exposure to the realities of the fashion industry. She believes in nurturing emerging talent while strengthening the creative ecosystem within her community.
