Mehmet Ihsan Kalkan

Mehmet Ihsan Kalkan is an international lawyer, speaker, and businessman whose work spans across humanitarian law, international litigation, and social impact initiatives. With a deep commitment to justice, he has initiated several high-profile international legal cases, including one against racism related to the Paris-Saint Germain vs Başakşehir football match, another against China concerning the global outbreak of COVID-19, and a separate case addressing genocide.

His experience includes working for four years with the United Nations in the International Organization for Migration, where he developed expertise in international refugee law. He has been invited to speak at many significant international humanitarian forums, reflecting the recognition of his voice on global issues.

In Uganda, he contributed to a United Nations project that supported six hospitals. During this mission, he stayed for approximately two months and was inspired to buy a football team in Uganda to offer hope to young people and serve as a bridge for peace between nations. He currently serves as the President of Mateete Football Club.

His work extends beyond legal and humanitarian efforts—he has also led and participated in numerous projects supporting individuals with disabilities and established an association dedicated to them. Mehmet Ihsan Kalkan continues to act as a representative for Turkey in various global organizations, including the Global Chamber of Business Leaders and the Asia-Africa Chamber Association.
