Flaminia LILLI is a purpose-driven humanitarian whose career is defined by empathy, global awareness, and a deep commitment to social impact. With a passion for celebrating others and a longstanding connection to Asia, she continues to merge purpose with practice in transformative ways.
With her enthusiasm towards community work, Flaminia strongly believes in bringing empathy and intellectual rigor to everything she does. Originally from Italy but having grown up in France, Tunisia, and Asia, she considers herself a global citizen with an Asian soul.
Having spent more than 15 years working in Asia in the not-for-profit space and having served various International Organisations and Foundations in the fields of Healthcare, Education, and the Environment, she emphasizes the need for anyone involved in the Development sector to have a strong sense of ethical responsibility. After a long and successful career in this space in Singapore, she has shifted her life to Cambodia to work for a children’s hospital and raise funding for this noble cause.
Wanting to give back to society requires an immense sense of selflessness and passion. Flaminia deeply believes in social transformation led with dignity and strategic thinking. Since very young, she has always been concerned by social issues, especially access to a dignifying healthcare system for everyone and access to education for girls, no matter where they come from.
Having travelled across Asia since 1991, Flaminia has seen the incredible shift and changes in many societies in the past three decades. She has also witnessed what works best or less in the Development sector.
She believes that if every one of us, as well as more for-profit companies, could play even a small part in empowering communities, especially women, the world would be a better place.
