Emerging Global Leaders Shaping the Future in 2026
Company: The Menopause Hub
Designation: Founder & CEO
Country: Ireland
Loretta Dignam stands as one of the most influential global voices reshaping how women’s health, workplace equity, and public policy intersect in the modern world. With a distinguished 25-year career in senior marketing roles across globally recognised organisations such as Mars, Diageo, and Kerry Group, she built a reputation for strategic excellence, earning recognition as Marketer of the Year and contributing academically as a lecturer at UCD Smurfit. Yet, it was her deeply personal experience of menopause, marked by years of debilitating symptoms and a workplace culture where silence often felt safer than honesty, that became the catalyst for a far more transformative mission.
In 2018, Loretta founded The Menopause Hub, Ireland’s first dedicated menopause clinic, addressing a long-overlooked gap in healthcare and professional support for women. What began as a response to systemic neglect has since evolved into a nationally recognised ecosystem of impact that spans clinical care, cultural change, and policy advocacy. Today, The Menopause Hub supports more than 15,000 women across three clinics, ensuring that menopause no longer undermines women’s health, confidence, or career progression.
Expanding her vision beyond clinical care, Loretta launched Menopause Hub Academy in 2024 to transform how organisations support women across their hormonal life cycle, including menstruation, maternity, and menopause. Through CPD-accredited training, policy development, and workplace accreditation, the Academy works with leading employers such as Lidl, Aldi, Diageo, Accenture, and Stryker to embed sustainable, menopause-inclusive workplace cultures that benefit both employees and organisations alike.
Her influence extends powerfully into public policy. After four years of sustained advocacy through national petitions, policy engagement, and consistent media leadership, Loretta played a pivotal role in securing free access to HRT in Ireland in 2025, representing a landmark advancement in women’s healthcare. Building on this achievement, she is now actively advocating for policy reform at the European level, aiming to ensure broader systemic change across borders.
Recognised globally through honours such as inclusion in Forbes’ Top 50 Over 50 Global List 2025 and as a recipient of the Irish Tatler Women’s Health Award, Loretta Dignam exemplifies what it means to be an emerging global leader shaping the future. By transforming lived experience into meaningful, measurable impact, she continues to redefine leadership, driving lasting change that resonates far beyond national boundaries.
