For as long as she can remember, Piret Haahr has been deeply fascinated by the intersection of science, nutrition, and human behaviour, particularly how these forces shape women’s health during midlife. Her journey began well before she held any formal title. It started with a persistent curiosity about why so many women struggle with weight fluctuations, energy dips, mood imbalances, and hormonal changes after 40, and why countless women feel unheard or misunderstood within traditional healthcare systems. What began as curiosity evolved into a mission, and ultimately into her life’s work.
Piret earned her certification as a Functional Medicine Health Coach through the FMCA programme, an experience that grounded her in a rigorous, science-based approach to health. Seeking the tools required to scale her vision beyond individual coaching, she also completed an executive education programme at INSEAD. The training provided her with a strong business and leadership lens, sharpening her understanding of market dynamics, product innovation, and global growth, skills that empowered her to build something more expansive than a one-to-one practice.
A major turning point in her journey came when she recognised a global gap: women’s midlife health, despite being one of the most complex and significant life phases, remains highly underserved. The information available is often fragmented, inconsistent, and rarely personalised. Very few platforms integrate nutrition, hormone science, mental wellbeing, behavioural change, and modern technology in a seamless, meaningful way. This insight inspired Piret to create Menowellness / Nutri-fem, a digital health ecosystem built specifically for women over 40 who want to understand their bodies with clarity, compassion, and evidence-based guidance.
Today, her work blends functional medicine, behavioural nutrition, longevity science, and data-driven coaching to help women thrive through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Her approach brings together personalised nutrition frameworks, symptom interpretation, mood and energy tracking, and lifestyle strategies that strengthen long-term metabolic health. At the core of her mission is a commitment to helping women navigate this life stage with confidence rather than confusion.
One of Piret’s most significant challenges, and sources of motivation, has been redefining society’s narrative around midlife. She believes menopause is not a decline, but a powerful physiological transition that can unlock greater strength, clarity, and resilience. However, changing this perception requires constant education, advocacy, and a dedication to debunking outdated myths while elevating credible science in a field crowded with quick fixes and misinformation.
Building a digital health platform also poses its own complexities. From developing clinically aligned content to navigating technology decisions and ensuring accuracy, every step requires precision and care. The process of creating a product that feels supportive rather than overwhelming has pushed Piret to innovate thoughtfully, collaborate with experts, and design solutions that are both human-centred and intelligently structured.
Among her proudest professional achievements are developing comprehensive nutritional systems tailored to women 40+, building accessible longevity frameworks, and supporting numerous women through personalised coaching. She has also cultivated an online community where women feel safe to ask questions, share their experiences, and learn in an encouraging, judgement-free environment. Through her work, Piret Haahr continues to transform how women experience midlife, shifting the conversation from struggle to empowerment, and from confusion to informed, confident living.
