Death Threat Against Shah Rukh Khan: Investigation Leads to Raipur Lawyer's Phone

Table of Contents

Mumbai police have tracked a death threat call made against Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan to a phone belonging to Faizan Khan, a lawyer based in Raipur. However, Khan claimed his phone had been stolen three days prior to the incident and that he had reported the theft to the local police by filing an FIR.

The threat call was made on Tuesday to the Bandra Police station's landline, demanding ₹50 lakh from the actor and warning of severe consequences if the payment was not made. In response, a Mumbai police team was dispatched to Raipur to collaborate with local authorities and further investigate the source of the call and the context surrounding the reported phone theft.

"I informed the Mumbai police that my phone was stolen on November 2 and provided evidence of my FIR. They questioned me for approximately two hours," Faizan Khan said in a statement.

Previous Complaint Against Shah Rukh Khan

The lawyer had previously lodged a complaint against Shah Rukh Khan over a line in the 1994 film Anjaam that referenced deer hunting. Faizan Khan, who identifies closely with the Bishnoi community known for protecting wildlife, had objected to the dialogue. "As someone connected to the Bishnoi community, which is devoted to safeguarding deer, I found such a remark objectionable, particularly coming from a Muslim," he explained.

Faizan Khan expressed concern that the call made from his phone could be part of a larger scheme against him. "It seems intentional; I believe this is a conspiracy," he said.

Similar Threats in the Industry

This threat follows recent security issues involving actor Salman Khan, who has been under enhanced protection since March after threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Salman's security has been upgraded to Y-plus, providing him with round-the-clock armed guards stationed at his residence.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about the safety of high-profile figures in the Indian entertainment industry and the importance of thorough investigations to uncover any potential motives or conspiracies.
