About Bagda Constituency

Bagda, Assembly (Vidhan Sabha) constituency 94 in West Bengal, is situated in the rural North 24 Parganas district. It holds a Scheduled Caste reservation and is part of the 14th Bangaon (Scheduled Caste) Lok Sabha constituency.

Biswajit Das of BJP won the 2021 West Bengal Assembly election by 9,792 votes. In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, Shantanu Thakur (BJP) led by 20,614 votes in the Bagda segment of Bangaon Lok Sabha constituency.

Poll Dates and Electorate

The Bagda bypoll was notified on June 14, 2024, with voting on July 10, 2024. The constituency reported a voter turnout of 68.01%, lower than 2021. Bagda had 277,464 electors in 2021.
