Former US President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 100, will be honored with a state funeral on January 9 at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. The day has been declared a national day of mourning by President Joe Biden, who will also deliver a eulogy during the ceremony.
