Key Intelligence from Iranian Mole Paves Way for Nasrallah’s Killing in Beirut
In a significant intelligence operation, an Iranian informant provided crucial information that led to the assassination of Hezbollah’s chief, Hassan Nasrallah. Israeli forces struck Nasrallah's highly secure bunker in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut, relying on the mole’s timely tip-off regarding his whereabouts. Israeli F-35 jets, equipped with bunker-buster bombs, carried out the mission as Nasrallah attended a critical meeting at his command center. Six two-ton bombs were dropped, killing Nasrallah and other Hezbollah leaders. The attack, which occurred amid ongoing Israeli-Hezbollah tensions, marks one of the most decisive blows to Hezbollah since 2006. Iran, a close ally of Hezbollah, is reportedly scrambling to rebuild the group's leadership following the devastating attack. This airstrike is part of a broader Israeli military campaign that has targeted Hezbollah and Hamas following increased hostilities in Gaza. The death of Nasrallah signals a turning point in Hezbollah’s ongoing conflict with Israel, leaving the group weakened and exposing internal security breaches. Hezbollah, however, has vowed to continue its resistance, issuing a statement to further its fight against Israel in solidarity with Gaza and Palestine.
