Rajnath Singh Meets Putin, Hails India-Russia Friendship as 'Deeper Than Deepest Ocean'
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the strength of India-Russia relations during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Tuesday, describing the friendship as “higher than the highest mountain and deeper than the deepest ocean.”
The meeting took place following the 21st India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Cooperation, co-chaired by Singh and Russian Defence Minister Andrey Belousov. Both leaders expressed optimism about the partnership’s immense potential, highlighting opportunities for joint efforts in defense and other sectors.

Singh conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s warm greetings to President Putin and reiterated India’s steadfast support for Russia. He also pressed for the expedited delivery of two remaining S-400 Triumf missile systems, a key component of India’s defense preparedness.

- Singh also witnessed the commissioning of a Russian-manufactured guided missile frigate into the Indian Navy in Kaliningrad on Monday.
