IAS Officer Tina Dabi Launches Cleanliness Drive in Barmer, Threatens Shop Closures for Non-compliance
Barmer District Collector Tina Dabi initiated a major cleanliness drive under the “Navo Barmer” campaign. As she inspected shops in the city’s Kisan Market, she reprimanded vendors for unsanitary practices, warning them of fines and potential shop closures. Dabi urged the shopkeepers to place dustbins outside their shops and ensure the cleanliness of the surroundings. In a video circulated online, Dabi is seen demanding immediate changes, threatening to impose ₹500 fines if garbage is found near the shops. The campaign, running for 12 hours, also included garbage removal using JCB machines to tackle waste problems on the roadside.
