This year's compartment exams saw significant participation, with approximately 1,22,170 students from Class 12 and 1,32,337 students from Class 10 attempting to improve their scores. These exams provide a critical second chance for students to meet the passing criteria set by CBSE.

Pass Percentage and Criteria
To pass the compartment exams, students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. The overall pass percentage for this year's Class 10 final exams was 93.06%, while for Class 12, it was 87.98%. Students who do not pass the compartment exams will have to repeat the year and reappear in the next annual exams.
Previous Year's Trends
Last year, the compartment results for Class 10 were declared on August 4, and for Class 12 on August 1. Historically, the board has maintained a consistent schedule for announcing these results, typically in the first week of August. The previous year's Class 10 compartment exams saw a pass percentage of 47.40%, with girls outperforming boys slightly at 49.90% compared to 46%.
Additional Information
In addition to the compartment results, CBSE has also released revaluation results for Lot 2 for Classes 10 and 12, which can be accessed using the same websites. Moreover, CBSE has recently partnered with the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), allowing winners of CBSE National Games to participate in the SGFI National School Games from the 2024-25 academic year onwards.
Students are advised to keep a close watch on the official CBSE websites and ensure they have all necessary details ready to check their results promptly once they are declared.
