Prime Suspect in Bengaluru Fridge Murder Dies by Suicide in Odisha

The main accused in the horrifying Bengaluru fridge murder, Mukti Ranjan Roy, has been found dead in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. The 26-year-old was suspected of killing his colleague Mahalaxmi and chopping her body into pieces before storing them in a refrigerator.

Mahalaxmi, who worked at a Bengaluru mall, had been missing for over two weeks. Her remains were discovered after neighbors reported a foul smell from her apartment. Her body had been dismembered into more than 30 pieces, and the investigation pointed towards Roy, who was one of her close friends.

Roy was last seen on September 1 and had been on the run since then. His death, which appears to be suicide, leaves several questions unanswered regarding the motive behind the gruesome crime.
