Ayodhya Ram Temple Prepares to Celebrate First Anniversary of Consecration Ceremony on January 11
As the first anniversary of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, preparations are in full swing for a grand celebration on January 11, 2025. The announcement was made by Champat Rai, general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra temple trust, who emphasized that the date aligns with Hindu traditions.
Commemorating a Historic Event
The idol of Ram Lalla was consecrated in the grand Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the temple’s journey. To honor this momentous occasion, the temple trust has planned elaborate celebrations on its first anniversary.
Construction of New Temples Underway
Champat Rai also revealed that 18 new temples are under construction within the Ram Mandir complex. These temples will be dedicated to figures from Hindu mythology and scriptures, including:
- Dashavatar (the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu).
- Sheshavatar (a form of Lord Vishnu).
- Nishadraj, Shabari, Ahalya, and Saint Tulsidas.
The construction work is progressing rapidly, and Rai assured that all developments are on schedule, reflecting meticulous planning and execution.
Clarifying Controversy Over Prasad
Rai also addressed rumors about the temple’s prasad, sparked by allegations from a Gujarat-based livestock laboratory report suggesting the use of animal fats in ghee used for temple offerings. Dismissing these claims, Rai said, “No prasad has been brought from outside the premises of the Ram temple for the past 30 years.”
He clarified that the prasad distributed to devotees is prepared within the temple complex, designed to remain unspoiled for extended periods. He added that some external prasad is brought exclusively for Ram Lalla, such as the chhappan bhog, which undergoes thorough checks before being offered.
A Year of Spiritual Milestones
The Ram Mandir has had a historic year, attracting millions of devotees and hosting significant festivals like its first Diwali, during which the temple aimed to create a world record with grand celebrations.
The temple trust is focused on ensuring that the upcoming anniversary celebrations reflect the spiritual and cultural significance of the Ram Mandir, reinforcing its status as a symbol of devotion and unity.
Looking Ahead
The first anniversary of the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony is expected to draw thousands of devotees from across the country and the world. With the construction of new temples and continued devotion, the Ram Mandir complex is steadily evolving into a monumental center of spirituality and heritage.
As January 11 approaches, Ayodhya gears up to celebrate not just a year of religious milestones but also the enduring legacy of faith and cultural pride.
